Research Interests

My research focuses on utilizing post-genome-wide-association-study methodologies to identify likely functional variants in Alzheimer’s disease, updating the algorithm for identifying individuals eligible for inclusion in a chronic kidney disease registry, and leveraging existing data in the registry to assess personalized medicine models for predicting end stage renal disease occurrence. My Previous work involved haplotype assessments of telomere structure and maintenance genes in lung cancer and the development of an informatics pipeline for deriving complete smoking behavior history from an electronic health record system.
