Dr. Kashyap was recruited to lead the Division and assumed this role in February, 2011. His clinical expertise is in the areas of cerebrovascular disease, aortic pathologies, peripheral arterial disease and venous problems. He has been awarded numerous National Institutes of Health and Foundation grants to fund his research. The translational laboratory is devoted to the study of endothelial dysfunction. He is certified in both general surgery and vascular surgery.
