With support from the Saint Luke’s Foundation, UHI has created Health Data Matters and Live Stories as resources for government, academic, community and industry partners to use in setting collective health priorities, making actionable decisions, and tracking progress toward goals. Funding from the George Gund Foundation has allowed us to create an open data portal on the site as well.
Recognizing the importance of “place” in determining health outcomes, this effort:
Builds on federal initiatives that produce a wealth of local data,
Uses technology to create powerful tools that assess health information and its influences.
Takes advantage of an emerging local consensus around which information is most important.
