Thanks to Vice President of the Office for Inclusion, Diversity and Equal Opportunity Robert L. Solomon for leading the School of Nursing community in such an engaging program!

 

Former Dean and School of Nursing alumna May Wykle was recognized by WKYC 3 for her career in nursing and education, and her work to bring more minorities into the profession.

National Hispanic Heritage Month

National Hispanic Heritage Month—which runs from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15—celebrates and acknowledges Hispanic and LatinX diversity, and emphasizes the importance of social and human solidarity across all communities.

University Diversity Programming

Diversity 360° Training

FPB students, staff, and faculty are encouraged to participate in the university's Diversity 360° training. This program is designed to increase capacity to recognize and engage in dialogue across the breadth of differences and to deepen understanding of how affiliations in privileged and marginalized groups affects treatment on campus, campus climate and productivity, in addition to other goals. The program was developed as a collaboration with the Office for Inclusion, Diversity and Equal Opportunity, the Division of Student Affairs and the Office of Multicultural Affairs. In addition to Diversity 360°, FPB faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in annual diversity education sessions.

Annual Inclusion and Diversity Achievement Awards and Luncheon

The office for Inclusion, Diversity and Equal Opportunity at Case Western Reserve University recognizes members of the university community who have made significant contributions to enhancing the university's commitment to diversity through inclusive thinking, mindful learning, and transformative dialogue.

These awards recognize and encourage such contributions that may include promoting respect, building community, establishing effective cross-cultural initiatives and advocating equity and inclusion within the university community.
