CHOMP

The Collaborative Home for Oral Health, Medical Review and health Promotion (CHOMP)

The Collaborative Home for Oral Health, Medical Review and Health Promotion (CHOMP) is breaking down boundaries between medical professionals to provide one-stop dental and medical care to those in need.

As an advanced practice nurse, you will work side by side with dentists to provide expert medical and dental care to the underserved patients of Case Western Reserve University’s dental clinic.

Developed as a three-year pilot program by the School of Nursing’s Carol Savrin and the School of Dental Medicine’s Kristin Victoroff, CHOMP is now in its fifth year and continuing to provide one-stop care to patients. While visiting the dental clinic, patients receive oral exams and health screenings for cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, red and white blood cell counts and, if requested, HIV.
