Nurse Anesthesia Admissions Information

The application deadline is June 1 for program entry the following year. View general MSN admission requirements >

Students must have submitted the following by the deadline:

  • MSN application and statement answers

  • Credentials, Transcripts

  • TOEFL scores

  • Names of References

Students must be physically present for their academic interview. Applicants whom are candidates interview typically meet the following criteria:

  • Possession of Bachelor’s degree or MSN/MN, and an active RN license
  • Two (2) years of critical care experience in any ICU (ER, PACU are no longer acceptable)
    One (1) year with CCRN or other advanced certification
  • GPA

    • Nursing Courses: 3.0; Science: 3.0

  • References that average a 3.5 or better

    • Should include reference from Nurse Manager or direct Supervisor

  • Shadowing experience: 16 hours (PDF)

Upon admittance and before the start of classes, Students must have:

  • Valid Ohio Nursing License, BLS/ACLS/PALS; Background Check less than 180 days old

  • Completed any Statistics course required.
