The Five Components of Leadership

The time has come for nurses to take a national -- even global -- leadership role in redesigning and reforming health care to make it more patient-centered, cost-effective, accessible, and quality-driven. The bold vision of the Marian K. Shaughnessy Nurse Leadership Academy is to develop and support new nurse leaders, securing their place at the forefront of the ever-changing health care landscape.

The academy is creating a five-pronged comprehensive approach to elevating nurse leadership which encompasses education, scholarship, research, and faculty development.
