October 21-24, 2021

This fall, the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing will celebrate our alumni with special events during Homecoming & Reunion Weekend, Oct. 21-24. We are planning an extraordinary weekend for you and fellow classmates for your reunion!

As federal and state guidelines continue to evolve with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will plan events accordingly -- considering both in-person and virtual options. Please watch for more information this summer, including event schedules and registration instructions.

The Board of Directors will be giving an update of their work over the last year and will be asking for alumni input and feedback. Dean Carol Musil will be addressing the alumni body and sharing a school update.

Join us for an engaging conversation to learn more about our interprofessional approach to learning through the Student Run Health Clinic which was founded and is operated by CWRU students to serve the health needs of the Greater Cleveland community. Forum participants include the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, School of Dental Medicine, School of Medicine and Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences.

A special documentary about the life of Frances Payne Bolton. Winner of the Bronze Telly and Crystal Award of Excellence, you will be captivated by her eloquence, humanity, philanthropy and patriotism.

The Board of Directors provided an update of their work over the last year. Dean Carol Musil addressed the alumni body and shared an abbreviated state of the school update. 

A discussion about the various ways that racism manifests in organizational culture; and how nurse leaders can recognize, acknowledge and help amend/prevent racism-induced harms by joining the journey of anti-racist thinking and practices. 

Discussion about the impact of COVID-19 on the nursing workforce and review of practical strategies to promote both our own resilience and that of other team members in our organization. Presented by Rose O. Sherman, EdD, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN.
