Time to try something new
I hope you and your student have enjoyed a fantastic start to 2017, and a productive beginning of a new semester.
One of the best ways I know to start off a new chapter is to get involved in a new activity. Last week, CWRU hosted its spring activity fair. More than 100 student organizations were represented, each inviting returning students to get involved in groups dedicated to athletics, academics, culture, religion, arts and more.
Another outstanding opportunity I hope your students can take part in is Center for Civic Engagement and Learning’s CCEL Serves program, which connects students to flexible and ongoing service opportunities. Opportunities include one-time volunteer projects or weekly semester-long engagements at a dedicated site.
Whatever their interest, I hope your CWRU students are actively taking part in campus opportunities for involvement. Student organizations are important ways for members of our community take on leadership roles, develop new interests, build networks and simply blow off some steam.
