CWRU Alert: Individuals in two vehicles—a red Jeep and a white car—fired gunshots at each other at the intersection of Chester Avenue and East 101st Street. They then headed northbound on East 101st/Ansel Road. No individuals in the vicinity sustained injuries.
Police believe the vehicles are out of the area and that it is safe for the campus community to move about. All clear.
However, as police continue to investigate the incident, Chester Avenue from East 101st to East 105th Street is closed to traffic. Drivers and pedestrians should seek alternate routes. We will provide an update once the road has been reopened to traffic.
