The Social Justice Graduate Collective is a new project to support the development of a social community of graduate and professional students from schools and departments across campus who want to radically reorient the world toward justice. The group was inspired by the recognition that the narrowness and isolation that can often seem to be an inherent part of the graduate experience is directly at odds with the ideals and practices that will be vital to the creation of a more just, equitable, and sustainable world--we cannot pursue social justice independently.
With this in mind, we are seeking to create a venue for grad students to build meaningful relationships around a passion for radical change. We hope that this may facilitate students organically discovering shared passions that they can explore and act on with the support of the Social Justice Institute, regardless of discipline or specialization.
