Loretta Laffitte-Griffin has been employed at CWRU for over sixteen years. Presently she is the Coordinator of the Cashier’s Office. She is a double alum of the university with an B.A. in Sociology and and a Master of Science in Social Administration with a concentration in Community & Social Development from the Mandel School.
In addition to her work on the SJI Leadership Team, Loretta Laffitte-Griffin serves on the SAC Community Service Committee, is a Youth Mentor, a member of Alpha Kappa Delta (the national Sociology honor society), a member of National Association of Social Workers, and is engaged in numerous community-based initiatives.
During internships at SJI and the Renee Jones Empowerment Center (RJEC), Loretta realized what it means to be a change agent for social justice - as a change agent, you must dismantle systemic inequalities in order to advance just solutions.
