Celebrate Social Work Month 2018-Social Workers: Leaders, Advocates, Champions

Happy Social Work Month! Everyone is invited to join Mandel School festivities throughout March, to celebrate the theme “Social Workers: Leaders. Advocates. Champions” and to honor our students, alumni, field supervisors, faculty and friends who are among the 600,000 social workers throughout the world who stand up for millions of people every day. This month’s activities are presented on behalf of the Lillian & Milford Harris Library.

Thursday, March 1: Social Work Month Kick-Off: We’re kicking it off with coffee and donuts for all in Noble Commons from 10am to 1pm. Sponsored by the Lillian & Milford Harris Library.

This also kicks off the month-long Social Work Month Prize Raffle for all students to have the chance to win cool Social Workers swag (enter at the Harris Library or by emailing your name and phone number to HarrisRef@case.edu) and the month-long Social Work Month Food Drive for the Church of the Covenant (collecting non-perishable food items for our neighbors and students in need).

Saturday, March 3 and 10: Intensive Weekend Kick-Off with Coffee and Donuts: This is the kick-off for Intensive Weekend students, with coffee and donuts in Noble Commons at 7:30am, presented by Mandel Council.

Friday, March 30: Social Work Month Wrap-Up Party and Lunch: We’ll conclude Social Work Month at 12:45pm to 2pm in Noble Commons with free lunch, giant games, and the drawing of the winners names for the prize raffle! (Do not need to be present to win.)
