On Sunday, May 15, 2016, the Mandel School celebrated the graduation of 139 students at a special Centennial diploma ceremony at the Maltz Center for the Performing Arts.

At Commencement 2016, we celebrated:
Graduates from the MSSA program in all formats, including six Online MSSA graduates who joined us for the festivities from around the United States;
Our MNO program graduates;
Several MSSA graduates who received dual degrees in Nonprofit Organizations, Public Health and Bioethics;
Those who received certificates in Management & Leadership, Gerontology and Global Health;
Nine graduates who received their Doctorates in Social Welfare;
Three students were inducted into the new Lambda Mu nonprofit honor society.
Dean Grover “Cleve” Gilmore, PhD, welcomed guests and graduates to the Diploma Ceremony. The graduate student speaker nominated by her peers was Melissa Pantel-Ku, MSSA 2016, who gave an enthusiastic address that spoke to the heart of the experiences of students.
Before Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Connie Schultz gave the commencement address and diplomas were handed out, we honored the following individuals for their contributions to the Mandel School and the community.
