Reduced school operations on July 18-21

Case Western Reserve University will reduce its operations on the main campus during the Republican National Convention in Cleveland from Monday, July 18, through Thursday, July 21. The goal is minimize the number of people on campus, out of an abundance of caution and to ease traffic congestion and concerns.

Both Mandel School buildings on campus – the main school building (11235 Bellflower) and the Mandel Center (11402 Bellflower) – will be closed and only accessible via keycard on July 18-21.

However, Mandel School operations will continue, with staff, faculty and the research centers working from home or off-site locations.

    Weekend classes on July 16-17 and July 23-24 will proceed as normal.
    Online classes will proceed as normal.
    SASS 411 Nonprofit Leadership Dialogues on Wednesday, July 20, will occur and has been moved to an off-campus location. If you are a SASS 411 student and have not received an email from instructor Linda Springer (, please email her to get details about the relocation.
    All field education activity that is not on campus can proceed as normal.
    On-campus field placements and/or student employment should receive communications from their supervisors with instructions.
