Why social work? I enrolled in the dual MSSA/MNO with a macro concentration because I think that real change happens from the grassroots. It is important to work with people, but it is also important to have the skills to navigate through the nonprofit sector in order to advocate and catalyze top-down change as well.
Favorite thing about Cleveland? Since I was at CWRU for undergrad too, I’ve been living in Cleveland for almost four years now, including most of the summers. I feel like I know a lot of the ins and outs of this city and it definitely feels like coming home whenever I see the skyline. I love the food, the vocal pride people have for this place, and people’s grit and tenacity here.
Fun Fact: I’ve been vegan for over two years now! I think that animals are the purest creatures on Earth and that they deserve our advocacy too.
