Why social work? “When I was in the military, I became a victim advocate and when I deployed I became the Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC). After that, I realized I wanted to work for people who couldn’t fight for themselves. I want to work at the VA with veterans dealing with PTSD, military sexual trauma, and substance abuse issues.”
Favorite thing about Cleveland? “I love Cleveland! I was in the military for nine years, so every time I flew home, I flew into Cleveland. Cleveland has my heart – some people are Clevelanders by birth, I’m a Clevelander by heart.”
Fun Fact: “I earned my MBA while in the Air Force. I’m also one of seven kids, and a twin. Also, I’ve been to all fifty states and Puerto Rico. My favorite place is Ohio, but if I’m not allowed to say that, my second favorite is Yellowstone National Park.”
