2020 Certificate Program

The Certificate Program is a program built on the notion that great communities thrive when you bridge the divide between institutions and residents.

The second cohort of this program will continue to focus on bridging the divide between institutions and residents in Greater University Circle. Participation is limited to residents of neighborhoods adjacent to University Circle, and people who work in institutions or community-based organizations in the area. The second cohort of Foundations of Community Building will run from January - October 2020.

The program includes:

  • A year-long training series that teaches institutional change agents and residents how to deploy strengths-based community change together.
  • Monthly peer-to-peer neighborhood cohort action and learning circles keep the conversation going.
  • Residents have the opportunity to become scholars in residence at Case Western Reserve University, offering their neighborhood expertise and stories as community ambassadors during their time in the program.
