Kedong Ding

Kedong Ding earned his BA in Social Work from East China University of Science and Technology and his Master's Degree in Social Work with a concentration in policy and administration from the University of Chicago, School of Social Service Administration. Kedong has been consistently practicing in the older adult-related field in both China and U.S., working with patients at the end-of life stage and their caregivers, older adults who are experiencing loss and grief, promoting aging in place and addressing the health gap for minority older adults. After graduating, he practiced as a case manager at a supportive housing in New York. His main responsibility was providing services and supports to older tenants who have a history of homelessness and mental health or substance use issues. Kedong’s research interests concentrated on aging and health, particularly in exploring health disparities among older adults, older adult’s health services utilization, and social determinants of health among older adults.
