Alena Sorensen, BA in Sociology, minored in Mathematics and Computer Science from Case Western Reserve University, is a Data Coordinator at The Center on Urban Poverty and Community Development. Her responsibilities include designing and maintaining databases in the CHILD Data System, writing analysis programs in SAS and R, and providing data-related support for the Center’s research projects and program evaluations. While working at the Center, Alena is also studying for a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Population Health Research at Case Western Reserve University.
