Blyth is an Economics major. His research project consists of collecting data and building a database to be used in creating an economic model of language diffusion.

Blyth’s mentor is Dr. David Klingasmith within the Economics Department.
Blyth is funded by the SOURCE Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences program.
Biggest learning moment while doing research:
About his biggest learning moment, Blyth says, “It has been really helpful to learn a coding language that I will use in the future when doing research.”
Service and Leadership at CWRU:
Blyth is the President of the CWRU Quiz Bowl team. The team travels all around the Great Lakes and is very successful.
Aspirations for the future:
Blyth plans to attend a pre-doctoral program with an eye towards an intensive research graduate program that will enable him to conduct research in the future.
