Present at Intersections

April Research ShowCASE + Intersections - April 20, 2018, Veale Convocation Center

Registration is NOW OPEN

Deadline: March 25, 2018

Intersections: SOURCE Symposium and Poster Session is where CWRU undergraduates present their research and creative projects. Intersections is an opportunity for the University community and others to see the broad and diverse work that is being done across campus by our outstanding undergraduates.

Intersections is held three times a year: in December (Fall), April (Spring) and August (Summer). It is a fun and informative celebration featuring bright, creative students and supportive faculty mentors.

In April, Intersections is held in conjunction with Research ShowCASE. The Intersections registration for undergraduates is separate from that for Research ShowCASE and is done through the SOURCE website. While Research ShowCASE is held 9am-3pm, Intersections (the Undergraduate component) is Noon - 2:45pm.

Poster Presentations

Students who indicate they will present a poster will select the poster size (32"x40" or 40"x60").  Students will learn their poster number and location a few days prior to Intersections.  SOURCE will provide the easel board, requested size board, and clips.  Students need only to provide the poster!

Oral Presentations (April only)

Students who indicate they will present orally will be contacted after April 1st about their preference of presentation time between 10am and 3pm. Students may choose either a 10 or 15 minute presentation length. Each presentation room will contain a table, laptop, projector and screen. It will also contain chairs for the audience or rows of seating. Students need to bring their presentation on a flashdrive (and have it available in another form, e.g. in their e-mail or Google Drive). Students are encouraged to invite their friends and faculty to their presentation. Oral presentation schedules will be finalized by the Monday before Intersections.

Awards Competition (April and December)

Students who choose to have their presentation (either oral or poster) judged will be assigned up to 3 judges. It is desired that at least one judge be outside of your discipline area. Judging criteria for oral presentations and posters can be found in the right sidebar of this page.

Patience is Appreciated

Students, please remember: SOURCE maintains the latest registration deadline possible. The SOURCE Office works hard to prepare for a successful, fun and engaging Intersections in four short weeks. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated, especially concerning communicating specific schedules and final details to you.
