The Spartan2Spartan coaching program will offer students the opportunity to engage with a member of the CWRU alumni community. Each participant will be paired with a CWRU alumnus beginning in mid-February and lasting until mid-April.
The CWRU program met with wonderful success in its pilot last year. Thirty-four second year students were matched with recent CWRU alumni. In addition, the actual coaching will be influenced by Intentional Change Theory developed by Richard Boyatzis from the CWRU Weatherhead School of Management. Students will become more familiar with their ideal and real self.
Creating change will also be a relevant theme. Students will work with alumni in identifying their strengths, establishing their values and pinpointing their passions. Finally, students will work with the alumni coach in establishing goals for moving forward.
This program is an exciting opportunity for students to seek guidance in getting the most from their second year at CWRU.
By participating in the 2nd year student-Alumni coaching program participants will:
- Deepen their exploration of their ideal self.
- Enhance their knowledge of their real self.
- Identify their strengths and celebrate their values; embrace their passions.
- Narrow their career focus and set actionable goals accordingly.
- Build meaningful networks to advance their goals, purpose and passions.
The application period has closed for the 2019 program. Check back in late 2019 for updated 2020 program and application information!
