Church of the Covenant

Help the church prepare for spring. Assist the deacons with planting flowers around the church, clean and oil the pews after the winter, and pack up donated clothing for those in need. Also, take a tour of the bell tower. 

  • Getting there: walk - it's right next door to Thwing Center
  • Time frame: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Number of volunteers requested: 15  

Shoes + Clothes for Kids

Assist with a weekly Teachers' Shop. Responsibilities include greeting teachers, assisting them with check-in and check-out, holding the door as they load their supplies in their vehicles, and answering questions they may have.

  • Getting there: You'll need to carpool; CCEL does not provide transportation and it is not easy to get there on public transportation
  • Time frame: 9 a.m. - noon
  • Number of volunteers requested: 15

    North Union Farmer's Market

    Help us prepare for our Summer farmers markets! We will be spending the morning organizing our equipment and supplies as we gear up for market season.

    • Getting there: You'll need to carpool or take public transportation; CCEL does not provide transportation.
    • Time frame: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
    • Number of volunteers requested: 15

    Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry Men's Shelter

    Help organize the shelter's large garage.

    • Getting there: You'll need to carpool; CCEL does not provide transportation and it is not easy to get there on public transportation
    • Time frame: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
    • Number of volunteers requested: 10

    McGregor Home

    Help with cleanup in the courtyard by cleaning the grounds, sweeping, picking up leaves, and turning dirt.

    • Time frame: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
    • Number of volunteers requested: 10

      Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Ohio

      We are looking for your group to help with a Game Day activity. Bring your favorite board or outdoor games. Play with our families and provide a much-needed distraction. Volunteer group must provide all necessary supplies for the games

      • Getting there: walking distance or the Healthline (1 stop)
      • Time frame: noon - 2 p.m.
      • Number of volunteers requested: 8
