Boys Hope Girls Hope

The mission of Boys Hope Girls Hope is to help bright and motivated children-in-need meet their full potential and become men and women for others by providing value-centered, family-like homes, opportunities, and education from middle school through college. Boys Hope Girls Hope seeks evening tutors to assist middle and high school scholars in areas such as math, science, English, Spanish, and French. A commitment of at least one hour a week per semester is requested.

Church of the Covenant Saturday Tutoring Program

The Church of the Covenant Saturday Tutoring Program provides free tutoring for students in grades 1-12 from school districts throughout Greater Cleveland.

Esperanza, Inc.

The mission of Esperanza is to enhance educational and economic opportunities for Hispanic Americans.

Lake Erie Ink

Lake Erie Ink is a nonprofit writing space for youth with the mission of providing both creative expression and homework help opportunities to children in the Greater Cleveland community with an emphasis on creative writing. Lake Erie Ink has an afterschool program in Cleveland Heights Monday through Thursday.

Joyful Noise Music School

Joyful Noise was founded in 2003 with the goal of bringing music lessons to children who cannot afford them. Student volunteers are needed to teach music lessons and help with office tasks.

Junior Achievement of Cleveland

Junior Achievement (JA) is dedicated to educating young people about business, economics and personal finances. JA programs are taught by volunteers in class and after school in over 270 schools and organizations throughout Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake and Lorain counties.

Progressive Arts Alliance (PAA)

PAA seeks to make the arts accessible to students of all ages regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender, education or income level. PAA programs include performances, workshops, assemblies, lectures, conferences, residencies and campus events focused on the contemporary arts.

Open Doors Academy

The mission of Open Doors Academy is to nuture, protect, inspire and challenge adolescents to reach their full potential through the provision of meaningful out-of-school enrichment activities in a safe and structured environment. Open Doors seeks tutors and mentors that can work with middle school students at afterschool programs.

St. Malachi Center

St. Malachi Center has a long history of serving the needs of the families of the Near West Side of Cleveland. Students are needed to volunteer with St. Malachi Center's After School Program. They would assist SMC staff with planning and facilitating games and crafts for Friday "Fun Day." The children are in grades K-5 and the program takes place from 4:00-6:30 p.m.. The student volunteer would come twice a week to plan and facilitate activities with the children.

Replay for Kids

The mission of replay for kids is to increase the availability of toys and assistive devices for children with disabilities. They pursue this mission by repairing existing devices, adapting mainstream toys, designing new devices, and educating families and clinicians.

The Intergenerational School

The Intergenerational School (TIS) provides a unique, innovative approach to K-8 education that focuses on intergenerational, life-long learning. Volunteers are needed to serve in various roles including Library Aide, Math Tutor and Administrative/Community Relations Aide.
