UCS has collaborated with Screening for Mental Health, Inc. (SMH) to provide confidential screening for:
- Alcohol abuse
- Depression & manic-depression
- Anxiety
- Eating disorders
- Other behavioral health-related issues
This online screening is free and is a great way to determine whether professional consultation would be helpful to you.
The self-assessment screening can be done online.
Once you enter the website, you will be prompted to select one of the screening measures. You will then be asked to answer a series of demographic questions, as well as a series of Yes/No questions. At the end of each anonymous screening, you will receive an immediate result that can be printed and taken to a counseling or healthcare specialist at the UCS for further evaluation. A screening test is not a substitute for a complete evaluation but it can help you learn if your symptoms are consistent with issues that require further consultation and follow-up.
The online screening is completely anonymous. We do not collect any identifying information, and neither SMH nor UCS has access to view your individual results. On the other hand, the staff of the UCS and its divisions of CBH & PRS can help you consider the meaning of the results. Call 216.368.5872 for an appointment.
