Graduating 4th- and 5th- year medical students who need TB testing should message Courtney Holzheimer through myhealthconnect.case.edu to request a lab requisition for a T-spot. The requisition will be sent to you as an attachment to a secure message. Please print the attachment and bring both it and your insurance information to a lab for testing.
When you send a message requesting an order for the T-spot test, please include the following information:
- Laboratory name and location (see below)
- Anticipated date of T-spot test
Results of T-spot testing are generally reported back within 1-2 weeks. Please note that test results may be delayed due to the current health emergency.
Laboratory Names and Locations
Please check the Quest website for convenient locations and call about hours, which are subject to change with the COVID 19 outbreak. A T-spot must be drawn by 1pm because it is shipped to a specialty lab for testing.
University Hospitals of Cleveland:
Check the UH website for lab service locations. We suggest calling ahead to confirm hours of operation and the lab's ability to collect specimen for T-spot test at your chosen location.
You are welcome to use any lab you like for your testing. However, you will be responsible for uploading your results from any other lab to myhealthconnect.case.edu for review.
