Save the date to attend Fall Convocation on Wednesday, Aug. 31, at 4:45 p.m.

Fall Convocation is the formal celebration that opens each new academic year at Case Western Reserve University. Held in late August during the first week of the fall semester, Fall Convocation features keynote remarks from the Elaine G. Hadden Distinguished Visiting Author, along with recognition of faculty receiving the highest honor—the title of Distinguished University Professor.

This year’s keynote address will be delivered by Peter Ho Davies, the 2022 Elaine G. Hadden Distinguished Visiting Author. Davies’ 2016 book, The Fortunes, is Case Western Reserve University’s 2022 Common Reading selection. He also is a recipient of the Anisfield-Wolf Book Award, and his 2021 book, A Lie Someone Told You About Yourself, and The Fortunes both were named as New York Times Notable Books.

To attend convocation, complete the general admission registration online.
