Become CPR certified and help create a cardiac arrest-free zone in University Circle

Person demonstrates CPR technique

More than 356,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur annually in the U.S. and nearly 90% are fatal. So, Case Western Reserve University is collaborating with University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center to create a cardiac arrest-free zone in University Circle by training 2,000 community members in CPR, AED and Stop the Bleed.

From Feb. 2 to Feb. 28, free CPR, AED and Stop the Bleed training will be available to CWRU faculty, staff and students. The 3.5 hour courses are taught by certified instructors from University Hospitals, CWRU EMS and the Division of Public Safety.
