Homecoming is an opportunity for Case Western Reserve University alumni, students, faculty and staff to show their Spartan spirit. Homecoming begins today (Oct. 21) and continues through Sunday, Oct. 24.

Schedule Highlights

Thursday, Oct. 21

7:30 p.m. & 9:30 p.m. |  Homecoming movie and fireworks

Celebrate the beginning of homecoming weekend with fireworks and a movie Thursday, Oct. 21, at East Bell Commons. The movie will begin at 7:30 p.m. followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Sponsored by the University Program Board, this event is open to all members of the Case Western Reserve University community.

Friday, Oct. 22

Noon | Deadline to vote for Homecoming Royalty

Seniors had the chance to apply for the court with a resume and application. From there, representatives from the Class Officer Collective and the Office of Student Activities and Leadership interviewed students for the court. 

Vote for royalty on CampusGroups through noon Friday, Oct. 22.

4 p.m. | Study Abroad Redefined: Developing the Competitive Edge (Virtual)

Students with study abroad experience are more likely to get multiple job offers with higher starting salaries upon graduation. Learn how your student can take advantage of CWRU's various education abroad opportunities—exchanges, internships, research, CWRU courses. The Office of Education Abroad with a student panel to share the career benefits of study abroad: what study abroad alums are noticing now that they’re out in the workforce. Register for the study abroad event.

7 p.m. | Shabbat @ Chabad

Join Chabad at CWRU for a delicious, four course Shabbat Dinner! Check out the new Chabad House and see what makes this a weekly highlight for so many students. Registration can be found at CWRJEW.com/shabbat.

Saturday, Oct. 23

8:30 a.m. | Stephanie Tubbs Jones 5K Race and Fun Walk

Student pre-registration is $10 and non-student registration is $25 .Event T-shirts are included in the price for the first 150 pre-registered runners. All proceeds from the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Homecoming 5K race directly benefit a current student at Case Western Reserve. A grant will be awarded to an undergraduate student at the annual Undergraduate Honors Assembly held each year in April.

11 a.m. | Spartan Tailgate

Join students, families and alumni for the Spartan Tailgate outside the stadium on Saturday, Oct. 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. along E. 115th Street. Enjoy free snacks and desserts, entertainment, games, tattoos, a photo booth and much more!  There will also be food trucks.
1:30 p.m. | Homecoming Football and Royalty Announcement

The Spartans take on Geneva at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24. Cheer on the team at DiSanto Field! Homecoming Royalty will be honored during the halftime show.

6 p.m. | Homecoming concert

Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to head out to Freiberger Field Saturday (Oct. 23) night for the homecoming concert, featuring headliners Aly and AJ. CWRU student band Weighted Blanket will open at 6 p.m. This event is sponsored by the University Program Board.
