Proficiency examinations allow highly prepared students in various subject matter to earn credit for a Case Western Reserve University course by passing an examination for that course. These examinations are optional, but for students that pass proficiency exams, credit will be indicated on their CWRU transcript with a PR grade. No letter grade is given and proficiency credit does not count toward GPA calculations. Proficiency credit may be used to satisfy major requirements.

The online proficiency exams will be given via Canvas on the following dates. These are the only dates/times to take the exams.
