The Swetland Center is sending a warm welcome to our new post-doctoral scholar, Eun Kyung, who will be working with Modeling the Future of Food in Your Neighborhood (foodNEST 2.0) team. Eun Kyung recently obtained her PhD in Environmental Health Sciences from the University at Albany, State University of New York. Her PhD research work encompassed assessing the environmental impacts associated with crop production in the U.S. Midwest as well as examining respiratory effects associated with residential proximity to biorefineries in New York State. Prior to her doctoral program, she obtained a Master’s in Public Health at Tufts University where her thesis focused on examining the environmental risk factors associated with food insecurity in rural areas of Guatemala.
