Case Western Reserve posted a record-breaking year with more than 39,000 undergraduate applicants—and then welcomed 1,544 first-year students and 66 transfers in August.

A graphic that reads: The students represent 1,067 high schools,
13% from Ohio, 18% from outside the U.S., 69% from the rest of the U.S., and 74 countries represented.

They are “a truly remarkable collection of scholars,” said Bob McCullough, dean of undergraduate admission.

“In selecting you for this community,” he told the new students at CWRU’s welcoming event, “we knew that you would take full advantage of all [the] opportunities to make for a rich college experience, that you would pour yourself into this environment to see what you could become. And we can’t wait to see all that you will do.”
