Does Mindfulness Belong in the College Classroom?

We often hear the word “mindfulness” bandied about these days, but what is the concept all about and
does it have a role in the college classroom? Our session offers an update on what scholars are saying
about the issue, who’s doing it, as well as some ideas and resources for integrating mindfulness
practices into the classroom.

Elizabeth Click (Assistant Professor, Nursing), Barbara Burgess-Van Aken (Teaching Fellow), and Matthew Salerno (Law Lecturer) will lead the discussion. Participants will be actively discussing ideas regarding mindfulness.

Join us for that session on Wednesday, October 2 from 12:45 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Herrick Room, which is on the ground floor of the Allen Building (at the corner of Euclid and Adelbert).

A pizza lunch, sodas, and water will be provided at this session. To register for this session, please email ucite@case.edu.
