Why do we STILL need a Center for Women?

Date Released: 28 July 2016

Women are catching up to their male counterparts in regards to matriculation and retention rates due to many of the empowerment resources and leadership development programs that have been provided for women.  Yet many people still question the value for university programs with a women-centered focus.  What are the reasons that we still need a center for women and what type of programming addresses those reasons?

Susan Freimark, Acting Director of the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women, will discuss the ways in which this office promotes women faculty, staff, and student success in the university and their careers.

Join us for that session on Thursday, July 28th, 2016 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. in the Herrick Room, which is on the ground floor of the Allen building (at the corner of Adelbert and Euclid). Pizza lunch and sodas will be provided at this session.
