Identifiers such as as name, gender, and personal pronouns are core factors to many student's sense of self. The newest update to the Student Information System (SIS) will include fields for students to indicate personal pronouns, prefixes, and gender. In light of the update, AmariYah Israel, professional staff in the LGBT Center, and Elizabeth Miller, assistant director in International Student Services, will discuss the upcoming changes to SIS, why the changes, and adapting to them, is important, and offer insight to resources and programming available to support the campus community.
This event will be on Thursday, March 22 from 11:30 - 12:30 p.m. in the Herrick Room, which is on the ground floor of the Allen building (at the corner of Adelbert and Euclid). Pizza lunch and sodas will be provided at this session.
