Active Learning and Collaboration with Mobile Technology

Mobile technologies (smart phones, tablets, wearables, etc.) are becoming ever present in our lives and the lives of our students.  However, just because students rely heavily on mobile technologies to manage their personal lives does not mean they think about how to incorporate them effectively into their learning. CWRU is exploring ways to enhance the student experience through mobile technology use in learning spaces.

During this session with [U]Tech, Cheryl Knight and Tina Oestreich from Teaching and Learning Technologies will discuss how iPads and screen sharing can help increase student collaboration during lecture, participate in the experience of iPad collaboration, and discuss the opportunity to participate in an iPad Active Learning pilot in the Spring of 2019.

Please join us on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 11:30 am -12:30 pm in the Herrick Room, which is on the ground floor of the Allen Building (at the corner of Euclid and Adelbert) immediately on the left if you enter through the Euclid Avenue revolving door.

A pizza lunch will be provided during this session. To help us estimate the amount to order, please let us know if you plan to attend this session by sending a message to ucite@case.edu.
