Students honored at April academic awards assembly

By Brittany Moseley | May 5, 2017

On April 28, more than 200 students were recognized for their academic achievements at the first of two academic awards assembly. Each year at the end of the spring semester, the Office of Undergraduate Studies hosts two academic awards assemblies: one in April for non-graduating students, and one in May for graduating seniors.

Faculty and staff from each of the University’s colleges, as well as staff members from several offices and departments, were on hand to present departmental and collegiate awards. Departmental awards are based on achievement in specific academic disciplines. Departmental and collegiate awards are based on leadership, scholarship, or service or a combination of all three.
