Reminder: Update Your VPN To FortiClient

As a reminder, Case Western Reserve University is in the process of transitioning from Cisco AnyConnect, our existing Virtual Private Network (VPN), to Fortinet FortiClient.

Whenever connecting to the university network from a public network, Case Western Reserve University community members should use the Virtual Private Network (VPN) for security and encryption. Additionally, VPN secures the network connection for a user to access various university IT resources.

For instructions to download FortiClient, visit https://case.edu/utech/help/forticlient-vpn. AnyConnect will be available through the end of the calendar year, but beginning January 2020, FortiClient is the only VPN client that members of the Case Western Reserve community will be able to use to access the university network.
