Second Life is a free, virtual world used to create custom, immersive virtual spaces that support meetings, classes, role-play, simulation and training. We work with faculty to create custom, immersive learning environments and experiences.
Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) has a prominent presence in the 3-D virtual world of Second Life. The environment has been carefully constructed to provide a variety of learning environments for use in and out of the classroom. CWRU also has its own private Second Life environment, when more privacy is required for a project.
What distinguishes ClevelandPlus from other Second Life environments is potential for community partnership. Cleveland has a unique portfolio of institutional players - not only schools but museums, the library system, digital asset organizations and our healthcare systems.
Our Second Life developers have experience in avatar creation, specialized avatar animations, designing and building training centers, simulations and role-play. We also provide support for events and meetings.
