From consultations and course design work, to ensuring systems are available for users, TLT strives daily to partner with and support our campus community efforts to enhance learning experiences through meaningful use of instructional technologies and digital modalities. The Active Learning Environments at CWRU transform traditional classrooms using modern spatial arrangement and technology to promote a pedagogical shift toward active learning, collaboration, information access, assessment, and instruction delivery.

Ally for Canvas

Anthology Ally for Canvas works seamlessly with all Canvas courses to gauge the accessibility of instructor content. Ally provides guidance and tips for lasting improvements to content accessibility, as well as allowing for alternative file formats to be generated.

Audience Response Systems

Audience Response Systems are used in-class to get immediate responses from an audience. They are used to add interactivity to lessons, engage with students, and collect feedback from large groups.

Canvas is the Learning Management System at CWRU. Canvas lets instructors share content with students via online course sites and creates a place for collaboration and communication.

TLT works with instructors to create, redesign, or adapt courses that accomplish course goals as defined by the instructor. Our team is composed of several Instructional Designers who not only specialize in creating efficient, effective, and engaging course experiences, but are well-versed on pedagogical principles.

MediaVision Courseware enables students to watch video of previous lectures or review sessions online. Students can access course recordings through their class site on Canvas and have the option of viewing the videos on mobile devices.

Google Workspace

Google Workspace offer flexible tools to help you connect and collaborate with others, store information in the cloud, and be more productive on the web. As a Google Workspace for Education partner, CWRU has access to 30+ Google applications!

Technology Enhanced Classrooms

Technology Enhanced Classrooms (TECs) are available in classrooms at CWRU. TECs provide the tools need to give lectures and student presentations, to display multimedia and web-enabled information, and to access tools and resources available beyond the four walls of the traditional classroom.
