Anjum T. Hussain, CFA, CAIA

Director of Risk Management

Anjum joined the Office of Investments in 2006. He oversees risk management functions relating to investments, operations, technology systems, data management and reporting. He is responsible for the asset allocation/risk budgeting process and participates in manager reviews and decisions. He is responsible for identifying, researching and implementing hedging, tail risk and alpha overlay strategies using derivative and structured products. He also has developed proprietary in-house systems to support risk management and measurement, stress testing and endowment reporting.

His prior experience includes: investment analyst with Oberlin College; financial consultant with Smith Barney; portfolio manager associate/equity research analyst with Victory Capital Management (Key Bank); managing director technology and operations with Victory Capital Management; and other technology roles with the Trust Divisions of Key Bank and its predecessors. Anjum holds an MBA in finance from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, a Master of Arts in economics from the University of Akron and a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Bombay in India. He is a chartered financial analyst (CFA) and a chartered alternative investment analyst (CAIA) charter holder. He also holds the Series 65 (Uniform Investment Advisor) license.
