Case Western Reserve University

Our Building

Hillel has a building that is adjacent to Case Western Reserve University. It was opened in 1972 to serve the students attending Case Western Reserve as well as students at other campuses in the Cleveland area. It is a drop in center for students who want to relax in the student lounge, watch TV, study, or just schmooze with their friends. Students can use a new game room that has a pool table, ping pong top, foosball table, basketball game and dart board. Many students come in for a snack, talk with program staff, inquire about Jewish life on campus, leadership opportunities, Israel trips, and internships.

The building is also home to a wide range of programs including weekly Shabbat services and dinner, Holiday celebrations, social programs, cultural events, learning opportunities, speakers, and educational experiences. Through all of these the building becomes a "home away from home" for Jewish students and the center of Jewish life at Case Western Reserve University.
