The Department of Classics at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) is seeking applications for a full-time lecturer position for the 2025-2026 academic year.  We are looking for a candidate with a background in teaching Elementary Latin and writing courses within the humanities. The latter experience will be necessary to teach Communication Intensive courses under CWRU’s Unified General Education Requirement (UGER).

Responsibilities & Duties: The teaching load for this position is the equivalent of six (6) courses over the academic year (does not include summer). Faculty are expected to maintain regularly scheduled office hours for advising and aiding students.

Minimum Qualifications: A PhD in Classical Studies by the time of application (nota bene: there is a strong internal candidate)

Preferred Qualifications: Coursework and/or experience teaching Elementary Latin and writing intensive courses related to Classics at the college level
