Full-Time Lecturer/Senior Lecturer - Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences

The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University invites applications for a full-time (100% FTE) Lecturer or Senior Lecturer position. This position will require teaching four courses over three semesters (one academic year) and 50% student programming support related to international students and programming advancing equity and inclusive excellence as an Equity Director.

The position will be a 12-month appointment. We anticipate an initial 3-year appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Senior with a possibility of renewal. Responsibilities include teaching four masters of social work level courses (traditional on-ground and online program formats) during an academic year. Teaching experience in mental health and substance abuse, as well as teaching or program experience in the areas of diversity, equity, and belonging, is preferred.

The appointment will start in August 2024. The level of appointment and compensation will be commensurate with the applicant’s qualifications. 

Qualifications

The position requires an MSW (Lecturer) or PhD (Senior Lecturer) in Social Work. Applicants must also have an MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited institution and two years of post-MSW practice experience. Applicants must have experience teaching in a higher education environment and experience with ADEI programming. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated excellence in teaching and/or practice in the identified areas.
