The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University invites applications for a full-time (100% FTE) Lecturer or Senior Lecturer position. This position will require teaching up to eight courses over three semesters (one academic year) across all program formats (On-Campus, Weekend, and Online).
The position will be a 12-month appointment. We anticipate an initial 3-year appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Senior with a possibility of renewal. Responsibilities include teaching Master of Social Work-level courses across all program formats and academic advising of students during an academic year. Teaching experience in aging, mental health, and substance abuse, and/or community practice is preferred.
The appointment will start on July 1st. The level of appointment and compensation will be commensurate with the applicant’s qualifications.
Required qualifications: The position requires an MSW (Lecturer) or PhD (Senior Lecturer) in Social Work. Applicants must also have an MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited institution and two years of post-MSW practice experience. Applicants must have experience teaching in a higher education environment. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated excellence in teaching and/or practice in the identified areas. Case Western Reserve University is an equal opportunity employer.
