Open Rank Faculty Position (tenure-track) - Department of Accountancy

The Department of Accountancy at Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management (WSOM) invites applications for an open rank tenure-track faculty position in Accountancy, to begin in the 2023-24 academic year. We invite applicants with qualifications to teach and conduct research in any accounting discipline and research methodology, but applicants qualified to teach taxation or accounting technology topics are especially encouraged to apply.

Applicants should have a demonstrated record of publishing, or the potential to publish, in top-tier and sectional-level academic accounting journals and a desire to participate in doctoral education. Applicants for Assistant Professor should have their PhD dissertation completed or near completion and show promise of significant scholarship and teaching ability. Applicants for Associate or Full Professor should also have an emerging or established scholarly reputation, evidence of leadership potential, and years of experience commensurate with the rank sought. Relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, etc.) is also expected. Rank will be commensurate with publication and teaching experience. The successful candidate will be expected to share in service to the department, school, and university, and to develop purposeful, professional relationships with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Assistant Professor applicants should provide the names and contact information of three references. Experienced applicants should provide the names and contact information of six references. All applicants must provide a cover letter, CV, a working research paper, copies of teaching evaluations, as well as research, teaching, and diversity statements. The diversity statement should explain how the applicant exemplifies diversity, equity, and inclusion within their research, teaching, and community.
