POSITION OBJECTIVE
Working under limited supervision, providing comprehensive administrative management and coordination of specific evaluation related functions including, assisting with organizing and coordinating program evaluation activities. Function as a technical resource and advisor, exercising discretion and independent judgment. The Research Associate will collaborate closely with the Manager of Consultation and Training, as well as the Manager of Evaluation for the Center for Evidence-Based Practices and will have recurring interaction with staff of the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Primary role is serving as resource between CEBP and organizations seeking evaluation, coordinating Program Evaluations, and acting as primary contact point for customers via email or phone for preparation of evaluations. This role requires start to finish oversight of the evaluation process, meaning the person should not only oversee logistics but also proactively manage and track process and troubleshoot challenges. Facilitate scheduling with organizations seeking evaluation, making sure that all pre and post documentation is completed in a timely manner. (35%)
- Serve as a liaison with clinical service organizations who are implementing treatment models including Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), Dual Disorder Capability (DDC), Individual Placement & Support (IPS), and/or Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment (IDDT). Collaborates with clinical service organizations to facilitate early-stage program evaluation tasks necessary to ascertain fidelity to evidence-informed treatment models. Ability to evaluate preparatory materials to ensure necessary information has been provided to the CEBP. Ability to support and train organizations on documentation completion. (30%)
- Create and manage files within the Box system for all evaluation preparation materials. Monitor and update fidelity spreadsheet and track documents, as necessary. (15%)
- Analyze aggregate evaluation scoring and information and generate reports using Excel or other statistical software. (10%)
- Work with Center staff and contractors to assist with coordination of Center efforts and communication. Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain relationships with Center customers. Participate in evaluation team meetings (10%)
NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform other duties as assigned.
CONTACTS
Department: Continuous contact with supervisor and evaluation team as needed to perform job duties
University: Occasional contact with other departments connected to university offices
External: Frequent contact with state agencies and partners to resolve scheduling and paperwork issues.
Students: Occasional contact with student employees.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No direct supervisory responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Master’s Degree or higher in social service or relevant field is required.
Experience: a minimum of 3 years of experience working with non-profit agencies, health systems, public health, in the area of evaluation or research projects essential. Experience/familiarity with evidence informed behavioral health models preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Highly organized with strong quantitative, writing and communication skills.
- Ability to assist with the execution of data management, analyses and process and outcome program evaluations.
- Experience in Microsoft Suite (Word, Access, Excel), email and internet applications.
- Proven skill in providing high-quality customer service by effectively addressing inquiries, resolving issues, maintaining customer satisfaction, and fostering enduring partnerships.
- Ability to be flexible and respond to changing priorities.
- Proactive approach to potential problems, excellent problem-solving skills required.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment.
- Ability to work with limited supervision while being highly self-motivated and self-directed.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Remote work opportunity. Ability to work occasionally beyond standard business hours to attend work-related events and functions (evenings or weekends).
