When Ari Lewis told his friends and family he would study business at Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management, his loved ones wondered why a Long Island boy would leave the Big Apple for Cleveland, Ohio. But he knew something they didn’t.
Ari, a 2017 CWRU graduate, recently wrote an op-ed for Crain’s Cleveland Business about his experience in realizing Cleveland would not only be the ideal place to study business, but also the ideal locale to launch his businesses.
After graduation, Ari built and sold a successful cryptocurrency hedge fund in NYC, then boomeranged back to the home of his alma mater to launch two more business ventures—all in two years after graduating from the Weatherhead School, no less.
“I crunched numbers and analyzed my options in a fashion that would have made my Case Western [Reserve] professors proud. When I added everything up, the answer was Cleveland” he writes.
