On your journey in science and medicine, the faculty you learn from will leave a lasting mark on who you become. And at Case Western Reserve University, those faculty will be some of the brightest minds in their fields.
What’s more: They’re also the empathetic and caring mentors who will guide your education and help set you on your route to success.
It takes a special kind of teacher to fill both those roles. And that’s who you’ll find all across campus at CWRU.
Just one example: Biology faculty member Nicole Crown (pictured here), an expert in genetics and an award-winning mentor. She talks with students just as easily about the molecular genetics of meiosis in Drosophila melanogaster as she does about embracing their own self-worth.
Crown teaches nearly 200 undergraduate students each year and treats every interaction with a student as a mentoring opportunity.
“I’m never going to make an assumption about a student,” she says. “I will always make sure that I understand what’s going on in their life. I can do that by asking questions and listening really carefully.”
That's what you'll find at CWRU: Faculty whose expertise and humanity will help you to achieve your goals.
